Drumming

This is the sort of post I hate to make, but comes with the job.

This spontaneous drumming at campouts needs to cease. We have had problems with it disturbing the neighbors at Reunion Farm, and we are not going to lose the site because people continue to disregard the policy and drum regardless.

EB MEETING UPDATE - NEW SITES

All,
The EB in it's monthly meeting enacted a plan to research the new park sites that were suggested by club members. Sites we are looking into are throughout the Washington/Baltimore/Northern Virginia Area as well as down to Annapolis and over the Bridge. It's my hope we will have the research completed in a few weeks and by the next EB meeting (We meet monthly) will have a plan to move forward with trying out some new battlefields.

IT Committee

I am hereby forming the IT Committee, which will be focused on several areas:

1.) Maintaining the Darkon website
2.) Assisting in the digitization and secure storage of Darkon records
3.) Assisting with the deployment of an online credit database
4.) Drafting bylaws changes to permanently assign these technological duties which were unforeseen at the time the bylaws were created
5.) Performing any other tasks related to IT work on behalf of Darkon

NURGLE CAMPOUT PRIZES ANNOUNCEMENT

A number of the prizes announced on Saturday night at the Nurgle campout were different than those submitted to and approved by the EB. Accordingly, I need someone from Nurgle to post a full list of all the prizes that were handed out so that the EB can review them.

EB UPDATE - STATE OF THE CLUB or "What the hell have you guys been up to?"

Hey folks, just wanted to give you an update on what we've been doing recently. This is an incomplete list, I'll have more information when the EB meets next. But for now:

1. The coin charity took in around $400-500 additional last event which is earmarked for coin purchase soon. Roy can give the exact number as he has the sheets. We have about $2300 put aside for new coin at this point, that number may adjust as Roy gives me the final tally.

Final Coin Charity Events Before Ordering

As you may remember from earlier in the year, we had charity events to raise money to purchase new coin. At the time, we said, "We are not guaranteeing that coin will be ordered immediately, as that depends on the amount collected, but we will be earmarking those funds specifically for that purpose. A similar drive later in the year is not out of the question."

Yesterday, the Senate met in an emergency session, and voted by greater than 3/5 majority to impeach the current Darkon Secretary, Sin. Subsequent to that, the Senate voted to elected Roy/Tsukebe of Rokugan for the remainder of the 2008 term.

The Rulebook has been updated for 2008 and we expect to have a limited number of copies for sale, expected at the next event.

A good portion of the books reserved for new players who are owed them from their entry dues, the remainder will be sold for $5, first come, first served.
